Prometheus Capital Expands Wetzel’s Role as Firm Grows

YARDLEY, PA — Prometheus Capital Management Corp., an SEC-registered investment adviser with $442 million in assets under management, promoted Nick Wetzel, CFP®, to vice president, expanding his responsibilities across investment analysis, financial planning and corporate development as the firm pursues further growth.

Wetzel will lead those three functions and work with the firm’s leadership team on client relationships and broader corporate development efforts, according to Prometheus Capital.

The promotion follows Wetzel’s completion of an MBA at Columbia Business School. He pursued the degree while working part time at Prometheus Capital and is returning to the firm full time.

“His promotion reflects the depth of his contributions to our clients and to the firm,” President and CEO Stephen Wetzel said, adding that the expanded responsibilities would increase the firm’s capabilities in serving families.

Before joining Prometheus Capital, Nick Wetzel worked as an investment banking analyst and associate at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he advised on more than $8 billion of announced transactions, according to the release.

Those transactions included more than $6 billion of mergers and acquisitions, $500 million of equity transactions and $1 billion of debt transactions.

Wetzel is a Certified Financial Planner professional and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance, summa cum laude, from Fordham University, with a concentration in value investing.
