LANGHORNE, PA — NEXGEL, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXGL) appointed orthopedic and biologics sales executive Dave Hazard as vice president of sales for its BIONX Surgical division as the company seeks to scale commercialization efforts following a recent acquisition.

The appointment comes as NEXGEL expands BIONX Surgical, a business focused on tissue and hydrogel products used across orthopedic, sports medicine, wound care, and surgical applications.

Hazard previously worked at Nuo Therapeutics, Inc., where he helped commercialize platelet-rich plasma wound care products and built a sales organization of more than 400 representatives, according to the company.

“He has a proven ability to build scalable sales infrastructure and establish the kind of enterprise partnerships that drive repeatable revenue,” Levy stated.
