Lancaster to Temporarily Suspend Online Bill Payments for Year-End Processing

City of Lancaster

LANCASTER, PA — The City of Lancaster’s online bill payment system will be temporarily offline starting Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 2 p.m. to facilitate year-end financial processing. The Treasury Office has announced that services are expected to resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 10 a.m.

The Treasury Office will also close early on December 31, 2024, at 2 p.m. Residents are reminded that 2024 City Property Tax payments must be postmarked by December 31, 2024, to meet the on-time deadline. To assist taxpayers, the City has provided two drop boxes for overnight payments. Both are located at the Lancaster Police Station at 39 W. Chestnut Street, with one in the lobby and the other at the drive-thru area on the back deck.

This temporary suspension is part of routine year-end procedures aimed at ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The City encourages residents to plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during the downtime.
