HATBORO, PA — KMM Group has appointed Lance Feeley as director of global business development as the precision manufacturing company expands its capabilities and customer outreach in the medical technology, aerospace, space technology and high-tech sectors, the company announced.
Feeley brings nearly 30 years of manufacturing business development experience and will focus on supporting customers with complex precision manufacturing projects while helping the company grow its presence in industries facing increasingly demanding production requirements.
According to KMM, Feeley has worked with Chief Executive Officer John Shegda since 2004, when the two collaborated on centerless grinding projects. The company said the longstanding professional relationship influenced the hiring decision.
“Shegda said Feeley has ‘an uncanny ability to see how seemingly disparate concepts can come together to create a great advantage down the road,’ adding that the position is well suited to his experience.”
Feeley has a background in industrial engineering and has worked with manufacturing customers throughout the United States and Europe. KMM said his approach emphasizes reducing manufacturing risk, improving manufacturability and helping customers scale production.
Vice President of Business Development Rick Desrosiers said Feeley’s familiarity with the company’s manufacturing capabilities and customer base positions him to support future growth.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to work alongside a team I like, trust, and respect while helping customers build products that improve lives and explore new frontiers,” Feeley said. “I believe lasting partnerships begin by listening, understanding a customer’s challenges, and working together to solve them.”
The appointment comes as manufacturers contend with tighter production tolerances, greater automation and increasingly complex manufacturing requirements. KMM said it continues to invest in experienced personnel and advanced manufacturing capabilities and is expanding its workforce to support future growth.
