PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 42-year-old Philadelphia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal child sexual exploitation charges stemming from a scheme in which prosecutors say he and an accomplice deceived an underage boy into producing sexually explicit images and videos.
Bryan Jackson entered his plea before U.S. District Judge Joel H. Slomsky to conspiracy to manufacture child pornography, manufacture and attempted manufacture of child pornography, and receipt of child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney David Metcalf.
Jackson faces a maximum possible sentence of 80 years in federal prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 19, 2027.
According to federal court filings and statements, Jackson and an unidentified co-conspirator posed as an older girl while communicating with a boy younger than 18.
Prosecutors alleged that the deception was used to persuade the boy to photograph and record himself engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Jackson and his co-conspirator subsequently exchanged the resulting child sexual abuse material, according to court records.
The charges also involved a second minor. Federal prosecutors stated that Jackson knowingly received sexually explicit images involving that child between approximately Nov. 22, 2025, and May 28, 2026.
Jackson was arrested in June 2026 following the issuance of a federal criminal complaint and arrest warrant. Prosecutors subsequently charged him by criminal information in September, and he waived his right to prosecution by grand jury indictment.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit and Homeland Security Investigations conducted the investigation.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Branwen McNabb O’Donnell is prosecuting the case.
