Investigation Underway Following Paladin Club Shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — New Castle County Police Detectives are currently investigating a shooting incident that transpired in the Paladin Club neighborhood of Wilmington on Monday afternoon. The incident marks yet another act of violence in the city, further emphasizing the persistent challenge of ensuring public safety.

According to reports, patrol officers were dispatched to the 8600 block of Park Court in Paladin Club at 11:53 a.m. on February 12, 2024, following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male victim who had been shot in the upper body.

The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition. The quick response by law enforcement and medical personnel likely played a critical role in stabilizing the young man’s condition.

Detectives from the Division’s Major Crimes Unit and Evidence Detection Unit responded to the scene to take over the investigation. As they work to piece together the circumstances surrounding this violent incident, they are urging anyone with information or surveillance footage related to the incident to come forward.
