ImageFIRST Opens National Contest With $16,500 Prize Pool

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — ImageFIRST recently opened nominations for its sixth annual HeroesFIRST contest, offering $16,500 in prizes to health care workers selected for their impact on patient care across more than 80 U.S. markets.

The King of Prussia-based health care linen services provider expects to select 20 finalists following nominations by its service employees and customer advocates. The finalists will advance to a nationwide online vote.

The eight candidates receiving the most votes will divide the contest’s $16,500 prize pool. ImageFIRST did not disclose how the money will be distributed among the winners.

Public voting will run from Wednesday, Sept. 30, through 11:59 p.m. Eastern time Friday, Oct. 16. Winners are scheduled to be named Monday, Oct. 26.

ImageFIRST reported that its 2025 contest recognized more than 600 nominees. Javen Hinojosa of Edinburg, Texas, received the most votes and finished in first place.

The company presents nominees with certificates, balloons and care packages during the selection process, before the field is reduced to the 20 finalists.

“HeroesFIRST is an opportunity to recognize those individuals whose commitment, professionalism and compassion strengthen the patient experience,” Mike Martin, ImageFIRST’s senior vice president of customer experience, stated.

Additional information and online voting will be available at heroes.imagefirst.com from Sept. 30 through Oct. 16.
