Havis Unveils Rugged Power Supply for Dell Devices in Harsh Vehicle Environments

WARMINSTER, PAHavis, Inc. has introduced a new DC Power Supply specifically designed for Dell mobile computing devices used in demanding vehicle environments, targeting industries such as public safety, utilities, and field services.

The latest addition to Havis’ power management lineup is built to convert standard 12–16V vehicle power into safe, stable output for docked Dell laptops and tablets. With a rugged, moisture- and dust-resistant build, the unit is tailored for professionals who rely on dependable in-vehicle technology in challenging conditions.

The power supply is compatible with several Havis docking stations for Dell, including:

  • DS-DELL-430 Series: Supports Dell Pro Rugged 14″ & 13″, as well as the 5430, 7330, 5420, 5424, and 7424 notebooks.
  • DS-DELL-900 Series: Designed for the Dell Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme 12″ tablets.
  • DS-DELL-1100 Series: Built for the Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme 10″ tablets.

Key features include low electromagnetic interference (EMI) power conversion, twist-to-lock connectors, an LED status indicator, and UL approval for safety. The unit also incorporates replaceable cables and integrated mounting points for secure installation in fleet vehicles.
