DEVON, PA — Fresh evergreen branches, natural accents and festive ribbons will come together at Jenkins Arboretum & Garden this December as visitors learn to create their own holiday wreaths during a hands-on workshop celebrating the beauty of the season.
The Holiday Greens Wreath Workshop will be offered Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the arboretum, located at 631 Berwyn Baptist Road in Devon.
Led by Jenkins Arboretum & Garden staff, the workshop will guide participants through the process of making a decorative holiday wreath, beginning with a wire frame and finishing with an arrangement of fresh greens, natural embellishments and ribbon.
The two-hour program offers an opportunity to explore a traditional holiday craft while creating a seasonal decoration to take home.
Participants will learn how to assemble their wreaths using fresh greenery, incorporating natural accents and finishing touches to create a personalized design.
All necessary materials are included in the registration fee, including the wreath frame, greenery, decorative accents and ribbon. Attendees can focus on the creative process without having to purchase or gather supplies beforehand.
The workshop also provides an opportunity to spend time at Jenkins Arboretum & Garden, a Chester County-area destination known for its gardens and horticultural programming.
Whether creating a wreath for a front door, preparing a handmade holiday gift or simply enjoying a seasonal activity, participants will leave with a finished decoration they have made themselves.
