Gregory Earns Top Philadelphia PR Ranking as Industry Awards Mount

Gregory (company)

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Communications firm Gregory has been awarded the top ranking in the public relations agency category in the Philadelphia Inquirer’s 2026 Philly Favorites awards, adding local recognition to a series of national industry honors received over the past year.

The Philadelphia-based agency’s latest recognition comes as competition intensifies among public relations firms investing in artificial intelligence, content marketing, and data-driven communications services to attract clients across sectors including healthcare, financial services, and technology.

Philly Favorites is an annual reader-voted awards program conducted by The Philadelphia Inquirer that recognizes businesses, organizations, and service providers across the region.

The local award follows several national distinctions for Gregory, including being named PR Daily’s Agency of the Year in 2025. The firm also received PR Daily’s Content Marketing Agency of the Year award and a Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil Award for AI integration and digital innovation.

“We’ve built Gregory into a national firm from our headquarters in Philadelphia,” said Greg Matusky, the firm’s founder and chief executive officer. “To be recognized both nationally by our industry and locally by the business community where we were founded says a great deal about the team we’ve built and the work we do for clients every day.”

Gregory has also been included on PR News’ Agency Elite Top 120 list for five consecutive years and was named to PR Daily’s Top Agencies List for 2025.

Founded in 1990, the company has expanded beyond Philadelphia with offices in New York, Boston, and London. The firm employs more than 135 communications professionals.

Approximately one-fifth of the firm’s workforce consists of former journalists, including professionals with backgrounds at outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, USA Today, The New York Times, and Barron’s.

The company has increasingly focused on artificial intelligence tools for communications and media analysis, developing proprietary platforms designed for media intelligence and AI search auditing as agencies adapt to evolving digital marketing and information-discovery trends.

The award highlights the continued importance of regional reputation and client relationships in the communications industry, even as firms compete nationally through technology investments and specialized advisory services.
