Motorists should plan extra time and expect delays both within the work zone and along detour routes. Drivers unfamiliar with the area may want to review alternate routes before traveling through the corridor during overnight hours.

The paving work will substantially complete a $14.6 million intersection improvement project designed to ease congestion and improve safety at one of Montgomery County’s busiest crossroads. The project expands approach lanes from 15 to 18, upgrades traffic signals, improves pedestrian accessibility, enhances drainage infrastructure, and installs new pavement markings and signage.

All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions warrant.
