DOYLESTOWN, PA — Drivers should prepare for daytime and overnight closures in downtown Doylestown as PECO Energy begins road construction on sections of State Street and Main Street.

The affected sections will close and reopen one at a time as work progresses. Drivers should watch for changing traffic patterns and posted detour signs throughout the project.
State Street will close between Clinton Street and Hamilton Street. Drivers will be directed to use Court Street and Hamilton Street.
A separate closure on State Street between Hamilton Street and Main Street will send traffic to Clinton Street, Ashland Street and Main Street.
When State Street is closed between Main Street and Donaldson Street, drivers will be directed to use Court Street and Pine Street.
Main Street will also close between State Street and Court Street. Southbound drivers will be directed to use Court Street, Clinton Street and Oakland Avenue. Northbound drivers will use Ashland Street, Clinton Street and Court Street.
Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers should plan extra time because backups and delays may occur near the work zones and along the detour routes. Seek alternate routes when practical, particularly during peak travel periods.
The schedule is weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions are unfavorable.
