Core Borings Planned Next Week on I-95 South in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that core borings are scheduled at night next week at two locations on southbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.

On Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Girard Avenue (Exit 23) and I-676 (Exit 22) interchanges; and

Additionally, on Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Bridge Street (Exit 27) and Allegheny/Castor Avenue (Exit 25) interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area. The schedule is weather dependent.
