PHILADELPHIA, PA — Comcast was named a 2026 VETS Indexes 5 Star Employer and a Top Military Spouse Employer by U.S. Veterans Magazine, extending a series of recognitions tied to the company’s efforts to recruit, retain and support military-connected employees.
The latest designations underscore the growing competition among major employers for veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses, a workforce segment often valued for leadership experience, technical skills and workforce mobility.
Comcast said this is the sixth consecutive year it has received a top rating from VETS Indexes, which evaluates employers on veteran hiring, retention, development and workplace policies.
The company, founded by U.S. Navy veteran Ralph Roberts, has maintained a range of programs aimed at military-connected workers, including career development initiatives, relocation assistance, military leave benefits and employee support networks.
“Veterans, military spouses, and service members bring leadership, technical expertise, and a mission-first mindset to our company,” Mona Dexter, Comcast’s vice president of military and veteran affairs, said in a statement. “At Comcast, supporting military-connected talent is part of how we strengthen our workforce, serve our communities, and invest in our future.”
Nicholas Antaki, president of VETS Indexes, said Comcast demonstrated “meaningful and measurable support” for veterans and military-connected employees through programs designed to expand employment opportunities.
Recognition from U.S. Veterans Magazine specifically highlighted Comcast’s efforts to support military spouses, who often face career interruptions and relocation challenges associated with military service.
The company said its workforce initiatives are designed to address those challenges through flexible career pathways and policies intended to support long-term employment.
In addition to the latest awards, Comcast has received Top 10 veteran and military spouse employer recognitions from Military Times and Military Friendly®.
The awards come as employers across multiple industries continue to expand veteran recruitment efforts amid ongoing competition for skilled workers and growing interest in military talent pipelines.
