Brosix Adds Chat Room Controls to Expand Business Messaging Features

Business News

WILMINGTON, DE — Brosix has introduced four new chat room controls designed to give small and mid-sized businesses greater control over internal and external communications.

The update adds Read Only, Publishers, Hide Members, and Moderators features, allowing businesses to create structured broadcast channels and managed communities within a private, encrypted network.

The company said many small businesses rely on consumer messaging apps, email, and SMS, which can result in fragmented communication, limited administrative control, and reliance on personal phone numbers.

Each control can be applied independently within a chat room. Read Only prevents most users from posting, effectively creating a one-way communication channel, while Publishers designates specific users who can send messages in those rooms.

Hide Members allows participant lists to remain concealed, enabling anonymous group communication. Moderators gives selected users the ability to delete messages from others.

Brosix said the controls can be combined to support different communication structures, including broadcast channels for announcements and moderated community discussions.

Founder and CEO Stefan Chekanov said customer feedback indicated demand for extending controlled communication beyond internal teams.

“These new controls make that possible without adding complexity or requiring a separate platform,” Chekanov said.

The features are available immediately to customers on paid plans through the company’s web-based administration panel. Brosix also offers a free trial at https://www.brosix.com.
