Asylon Names Erik Iverson Revenue Chief to Drive Expansion

NORRISTOWN, PA — Asylon has appointed former Belcan executive Erik Iverson as chief revenue officer to lead its commercial and government sales operations as the Norristown-based robotics company expands beyond autonomous security into aircraft inspection and other industrial applications.

Iverson will oversee revenue growth across Asylon’s existing robotic security business and its developing portfolio of autonomous ground and aerial systems, the company said.

The appointment comes as Asylon seeks to broaden the commercial applications of its robotics technology while pursuing additional government and defense contracts.

Asylon recently secured a Phase III contract with the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex to advance its Multi-modal Autonomous Robotics for Inspection of Aircraft program, known as MARIA.

The program combines ground-based and aerial robots to conduct coordinated visual inspections of U.S. Air Force aircraft, extending Asylon’s technology into military maintenance operations.

The contract represents a move beyond the company’s established security applications, which involve autonomous robots conducting patrols and monitoring facilities.

Asylon has deployed robotic security systems at critical infrastructure sites, logistics facilities, manufacturing plants and corporate campuses.

Its customers and deployment locations include Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Kia Georgia’s automotive manufacturing facility and GXO Logistics.

The company reported completing more than 400,000 robotic missions and accumulating more than 250,000 miles of patrol operations.

Damon Henry, Asylon’s co-founder and chief executive officer, said Iverson’s background in aerospace, defense and enterprise technology would support the company’s expansion into additional markets.

“Erik brings extensive experience leading growth across leading businesses and governments, and brings vital operating discipline and aerospace and defense experience,” Henry said.

Iverson joins Asylon after serving as president of strategic accounts at Belcan, a Cognizant company, where he led a business unit generating more than $300 million in revenue from aerospace and defense customers.

Previously, he spent more than three years as chief growth officer for the Americas at Cognizant, working across the technology services company’s $14 billion regional commercial organization.

His experience also includes federal government service as a White House Fellow assigned to the secretary of state’s policy planning staff, where he worked on cybersecurity policy and transnational threats across two presidential administrations.

Earlier in his career, Iverson held an emergency management leadership position with the City of Philadelphia. He holds a doctorate in international relations and remains an active volunteer firefighter.

“Asylon has built something few companies can replicate: a track record of deploying, running and supporting autonomous systems and Physical AI at scale across real operations,” Iverson said.

The leadership change places an executive with experience managing large commercial organizations and aerospace and defense accounts in charge of expanding Asylon’s customer base.

Mike Hayes, managing director at Insight Partners and an Asylon board member, cited Iverson’s experience developing enterprise customer relationships and managing growth across commercial and government markets.

Asylon’s expansion strategy centers on applying its existing autonomous robotics capabilities to additional physical operations, including inspection work that requires coordination between ground and aerial platforms.

The appointment gives Iverson responsibility for translating those capabilities into commercial and government revenue as the company pursues opportunities beyond its established security business.
