KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of job fairs throughout January at its Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery County maintenance facilities. These events aim to connect qualified candidates with vacancies critical to maintaining the state’s transportation systems.

The job fairs will take place as follows:

Among the positions PennDOT is seeking to fill are Transportation Equipment Operator-A, Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee, Diesel Construction Equipment Mechanic, Highway Maintenance Worker, and roles within the Summer Employment College Program.

Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to review available positions and submit applications via the state’s employment website, employment.pa.gov, even if they are unable to attend a job fair. Staff equipped with laptops will be on-site to assist attendees with the electronic application process.

Unique features of the event include on-the-spot interviews for candidates applying for positions that require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Attendees should bring their current driver’s license and medical certificates, with driving tests available for some candidates. For those hired as Transportation Equipment Operator Trainees, PennDOT offers CDL training.
