MEDIA, PA — Prepare for an evening where music transcends boundaries, as Delaware County Community College proudly presents a groundbreaking performance featuring two of the most innovative pianists of our time. Ju-Ping Song, hailed by the Boston Globe as a “pianist extraordinaire”, and Kathleen Supové, known as the “Downtown Piano Queen” by the MMIXDOWN, are set to captivate audiences with their dynamic collaboration. This not-to-be-missed event will take place on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m., marking the grand finale of the College’s 2023-2024 Concert Series.

The stage at the College’s Marple Campus will come alive with the sounds of the NakedEye Ensemble, an electro-acoustic octet that blends elements of classical, rock, and jazz. Their performance promises an eclectic mix of amplified bicycle, ’90s Latin pop, deep grooves, toy instruments, and extended duo piano techniques. Song and Supové will lead this kaleidoscopic experience, showcasing magnetic works by celebrated composers such as Angélica Negrón, Randall Woolf, Molly Joyce, Rusty Banks, and DCCC’s own music professor Richard Belcastro. As one of NakedEye’s final live performances before heading to the studio to record their fourth album, this event is a rare opportunity to witness musical innovation in action.

Hosted in the Large Auditorium in the Academic Building at 910 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063, this performance is the culmination of Delaware County Community College’s commitment to bringing virtuosic and innovative musicians from around the globe to the local community. Each semester, students and residents have the privilege of experiencing world-class concerts right in their backyard, highlighting the vibrant and expansive musical landscape of the 21st century.
