PAOLI, PA — Students from Keystone STEM Alliance’s BLAST Robotics team presented their work, recent achievements, and future plans to the Upper Main Line Rotary Club on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Waynesborough Country Club.
The student-led team, FRC Team 10989, outlined its efforts to expand STEM education and community engagement in Chester County and beyond during the Rotary’s morning meeting.
Student presenters, accompanied by mentor Swapna TN, described the team’s growth and competitive performance in regional robotics competitions.
The team reported earning the Rookie All-Star Award at the FIRST Mid-Atlantic Centennial Robotics Competition and the Gardener Award at the Ramp Riot Robotics Competition, along with additional recognition for innovation and teamwork.
BLAST Robotics also highlighted partnerships with organizations including FIRST Mid-Atlantic, Scouting America, and Eadeh Enterprises, as well as support from industry and community mentors.
During the meeting, participants discussed potential collaboration opportunities, including a STEM outreach initiative in Rwanda and expanded volunteer involvement in Rotary-led service projects.
Plans were also discussed for a fall leadership training program combining Rotary initiatives, Scouting America’s National Youth Leadership Training program, and BLAST Robotics.
The presentation reflects ongoing efforts to expand STEM education access and workforce development opportunities for students in Chester County through hands-on robotics programs.
