MEDIA, PA — Delaware County Community College (DCCC) will host Dr. Antoinette Newsome, associate director and consultant for the groundbreaking Moon Shot for Social & Economic Mobility initiative, as the keynote speaker for Moon Shot Week in celebration of Women’s History Month. The event, set for Tuesday, March 18, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will take place in the Large Auditorium at the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063) and will also be available via livestream.
Dr. Newsome’s keynote will explore the intersection of women’s leadership and equity, underscoring the persistent gender gaps in education and leadership roles. She will share insights on actionable strategies for advancing equity-minded change, using technology and data to bridge opportunity gaps for students from underserved backgrounds.
Through her work with the Moon Shot initiative, Dr. Newsome collaborates with institutions nationwide to implement best practices that foster systemic improvements in student outcomes. With her scholar-practitioner expertise and experience in both two-year and four-year colleges, she brings a wealth of knowledge to champion transformational approaches to closing equity gaps.
