No detour has been announced. Drivers should follow flaggers through the work zone, reduce speed and seek alternate routes when practical.

The paving project extends through Limerick TWP, Lower Frederick TWP and Schwenksville BORO. PennDOT advises motorists to allow extra travel time because backups and delays are expected.

The work is part of a broader resurfacing program that includes roadway repairs, milling and repaving with new asphalt to provide a safer, smoother driving surface.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be postponed or rescheduled.
