WEST CHESTER, PA – The streets of Downtown West Chester will transform into a festive haven on Saturday, December 14th, as the much-anticipated Christkindlmarkt returns. From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., visitors will have the chance to explore this joyful holiday market, featuring over 100 artisan craft vendors spread across four blocks of Gay Street, stretching from Matlack Street to Darlington.
This event, presented by the West Chester Downtown Foundation, promises to highlight the rich artistry and craftsmanship of local and regional vendors. From handmade ornaments and jewelry to unique holiday décor and one-of-a-kind gifts, Christkindlmarkt offers a special opportunity to find meaningful treasures while supporting local businesses—a perfect way to celebrate the season.
An Annual Holiday Tradition
“We are excited to have this amazing holiday event back, and we are hopeful this continues to grow as a West Chester tradition,” shared John O’Brien, Executive Director of Downtown West Chester. “The Christkindlmarkt is a great way for people to find the perfect gift for their loved ones while at the same time shopping local.”
Co-hosted by the Chester County Art Association, the Christkindlmarkt places a spotlight on the flourishing art scene in Chester County. Jeff Schaller, Vice-President of the Chester County Art Association, emphasized the event’s significance by stating, “As a member-driven art organization, the Chester County Art Association is happy to be part of the team that is bringing this artisan event to town. This fun holiday event helps to highlight some of the great artistic talent we have in our county while helping connect artisan craft vendors with customers during the holiday season.”
