According to PennDOT, a lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 30 between Airport Road and Route 340 (Kings Highway) during overnight construction hours.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect backups and slower traffic conditions while crews continue roadway improvements designed to extend the life of the bypass and improve travel safety. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and seek alternate routes when possible.
The $9.3 million project includes milling, base repairs, new bituminous overlay installation, edge-line rumble strip replacement, and fresh pavement markings along the western section of the bypass through the City of Coatesville and Caln, Sadsbury, Valley, and West Caln townships.
All scheduled work remains weather dependent and could change if conditions warrant.
Allan Myers, Inc., of Worcester, is the general contractor for the state-funded project.
