PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced resurfacing operations will begin next week on state highways in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties as part of its effort to repair and repave more than 200 miles of roadway across the region.
Work includes daytime and overnight lane closures for milling, paving, and utility repairs at multiple locations, including
- Penn Square, Chestnut Street, and Walnut Street in Philadelphia;
- Fallsington Tullytown Road and Penn Valley Road in Bucks County;
- Saint Matthews Road in Chester County;
- Lawrence Road in Delaware County;
- and several major routes in Montgomery County such as Route 63, Business U.S. 202, and Evans Road.
Drivers should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through these work zones. All activities are weather dependent.
