According to PennDOT, overnight lane closures will occur on eastbound U.S. 30 between the Bailey Road Overpass and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) from Sunday night through Thursday morning.
In addition, a separate daytime lane closure is scheduled Monday between Wagontown Road and Route 82 (Manor Road).
Motorists traveling through the area should expect backups and slower traffic conditions during active work periods. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and seek alternate routes when possible.
The work is part of PennDOT’s $9.3 million project to improve travel and safety along the western section of the Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass through the City of Coatesville and Caln, Sadsbury, Valley, and West Caln townships.
Project improvements include milling, base repairs, bituminous overlay installation, replacement of edge-line rumble strips, and new pavement markings intended to extend the roadway’s service life.
All scheduled activities remain weather dependent and could change if conditions warrant.
Allan Myers, Inc., of Worcester, is the general contractor for the state-funded project.
