KENNETT SQUARE, PA — State Representative Christina Sappey is set to honor veterans and their families in the 158th Legislative District with her third annual Veterans Breakfast and Recognition Ceremony. This esteemed event will take place on Friday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kennett Square VFW Post 5467, located at 704 W. Baltimore Pike.

This complimentary gathering serves as a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices and valor of the community’s veterans. “I host this breakfast and recognition ceremony every year as a small expression of appreciation for the veterans in our community,” Rep. Sappey, D-Chester, stated. She emphasized the profound courage and humility exhibited by these individuals, acknowledging the essential role they play in safeguarding the nation’s freedoms.

Attendees will be treated to a hot breakfast while gaining access to valuable information on state government programs and services tailored for veterans. This engagement aims to both nourish and inform, fostering a sense of community and support for those who have served.

The event’s keynote address will be delivered by State Representative Jared Solomon, who chairs the House Veterans Emergency and Preparedness Committee. With a background as a JAG officer in the Army Reserves and current service in the Pennsylvania National Guard, Rep. Solomon brings a wealth of experience and insight to the proceedings.
