BERWYN, PA — More than 40 athletes from the Philadelphia Bell Ringers baseball team spent July 29 sharing their skills, encouragement, and love of the game with youth from Sunrise of Philadelphia during the Sixth Annual PBT Baseball GiveBack, creating an afternoon centered on mentorship, teamwork, and community impact.
Hosted by Sow Good Now at the Field of Dreams in Berwyn, the annual event brought together high school athletes and young people from Philadelphia for three hours of baseball instruction, relationship-building, and hands-on learning. The upbeat atmosphere reflected the event’s mission of using sports to foster confidence, character, and lasting connections.
Throughout the day, Bell Ringers players worked alongside participants from Sunrise of Philadelphia, leading baseball drills, sharing strategies, and demonstrating the values of hard work, teamwork, and positive sportsmanship. Beyond improving skills on the field, the event encouraged meaningful conversations and friendships while showing how athletics can strengthen communities.
Sunrise of Philadelphia serves young people throughout the city through after-school programs that help students explore new opportunities, build essential life skills, and support working families. The GiveBack offered participants another opportunity to learn from positive role models while enjoying the game of baseball.
The event also advanced Sow Good Now’s mission of developing the next generation of philanthropic athletes by encouraging participants to give back through their time, talents, and leadership.
