Wilmington Shooting Leaves One Dead and Two Injured

WILMINGTON, DE — A Thursday evening shooting in Wilmington left one man dead and two others injured, including a child. The incident occurred at approximately 6:44 p.m. on May 8, 2025, in the 800 block of East 22nd Street.

Upon arrival, Wilmington Police discovered a 21-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. A 19-year-old female and a 9-year-old female were also found with gunshot wounds; both were hospitalized and are reported to be in stable condition.

The case is currently under investigation, with authorities withholding additional details at this time.
