Wilmington Man Arrested on Drug Allegations Following Investigation

WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man has been arrested and charged following an investigation into alleged drug activity conducted by the Wilmington Police Department’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division.

Authorities report that the investigation, which began in January, focused on alleged illegal drug sales in the 900 block of East 17th Street. On January 16, 2025, at approximately 6:02 a.m., officers carried out search warrants at locations on East 17th Street and Vandever Avenue.

During the searches, police arrested 37-year-old Anthony Miles without incident. Investigators recovered 13.85 grams of crack cocaine, 5.16 grams of cocaine, and .54 grams of heroin.

Miles has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a Tier 2 quantity as well as possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released after posting $6,000 secured bail.

Police have emphasized that these charges are allegations, and Miles is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
