What Sparked This Violent Altercation in Kennett Square?

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A Kennett Square man faces assault and related charges after police alleged he attacked two people during an early morning disturbance.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers responded to the 700 block of Meredith Street at approximately 12:51 a.m. on Aug. 2.

Police allege that 43-year-old Heriberto Perea-Gayosso struck a female victim multiple times in the head. Investigators further allege that when a male attempted to intervene, Perea-Gayosso pushed him and scratched him on the chest.

Perea-Gayosso was taken into custody and transported to Chester County Prison for central booking, according to police.

Authorities charged Perea-Gayosso with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, and additional related offenses. The charges were filed in Chester County District Court 15-3-04.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
