Who Pushed a Cart of Groceries Out of an Oxford Store?

OXFORD, PA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of stealing a cart full of groceries from an Oxford supermarket last month.

According to the Oxford Police Department, officers were dispatched to Redner’s Markets, 459 N. Third St., at approximately 7:07 p.m. on May 5 for a report of a theft.

Investigators said a witness reported seeing an unidentified man push a shopping cart filled with groceries out of the store without paying for the items.

According to police, the suspect then loaded the merchandise into a gray sedan of an unknown make and model that had a large antenna mounted on the roof. The vehicle subsequently left the area in an unknown direction.

Police have not released an estimate of the value of the stolen merchandise.

The Oxford Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect and has released photographs and video related to the investigation.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
