West Chester Man Arrested After Alleged Vehicle Pursuit and Drug-Related Charges

WEST CHESTER, PA — A 62-year-old West Chester man was arrested on June 4, 2025, following an alleged attempt to evade police during a traffic stop. The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on the 50 block of South Matlack Street, where officers attempted to stop a vehicle due to an active arrest warrant for the driver, identified as Todd Spriggs.

According to authorities, Spriggs allegedly fled the scene but was stopped shortly thereafter at the intersection of South High Street and West Miner Street. Officers took him into custody without further incident. An investigation revealed that Spriggs was allegedly under the influence of multiple controlled substances and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Spriggs faces the following charges:

  • Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer
  • Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or a Controlled Substance
  • Recklessly Endangering Another Person
  • Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Multiple Traffic-Related Offenses

He was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment. All charges are allegations, and Spriggs is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
