WILMINGTON, DE—The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting in Wilmington that has left a 19-year-old man in critical condition.
On the afternoon of February 19, 2025, around 4:29 p.m., troopers responded to East Lea Boulevard near Philadelphia Pike following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and initiated life-saving measures. Emergency medical services transported the man to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Preliminary findings indicate that the victim was walking to a residence on East Lea Boulevard when an unidentified suspect shot him. At this time, authorities have not released any details regarding the suspect or motive.
