HARRISBURG, PA — A Northampton County man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 to 20 years in state prison after pleading guilty to numerous felonies involving child sexual abuse material, including files depicting toddlers and other prepubescent children, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
Carlton R. Blaukowitch, 67, will also be required to register as a sex offender for 15 years following his release from prison.
The Attorney General’s Child Predator Section opened its investigation after receiving a cybertip concerning Blaukowitch’s possession of child sexual abuse material, or CSAM.
Agents, assisted by the Nazareth Police Department, executed a search warrant last year at Blaukowitch’s home on East High Street. Investigators found at least 50 CSAM images and videos on his computer, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
Some of the files depicted toddlers and other prepubescent children.
“Possessing and sharing CSAM is far from a victimless crime, and this conviction and significant state prison sentence makes that very clear,” Attorney General Dave Sunday said.
Deputy Attorney General Mary Phillips prosecuted the case.
