Police Seek Suspect in Early-Morning Sneaker Store Break-In

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in connection with a commercial burglary at a Northeast Philadelphia shoe store.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on June 6 at Famous Footwear on East Roosevelt Boulevard.

Investigators reported that an unidentified man allegedly gained entry to the business by breaking the glass in the front door.

Police said the suspect allegedly removed four boxes of Nike sneakers valued at approximately $400 before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Authorities have released surveillance video of the incident and are seeking assistance in identifying the individual.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
