PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 20-year-old Philadelphia man was sentenced Thursday, April 23, 2026, to 138 months in federal prison for his role in two armed carjackings in Philadelphia and Upper Darby, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced.
Legend Hall was also sentenced to five years of supervised release and ordered to pay $7,400 in restitution by U.S. District Judge Juan R. Sánchez.
Hall pleaded guilty in July 2025 to two counts of carjacking and one count of carrying, using, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, according to court records.
Authorities said the charges stem from a September 17, 2024, carjacking on the 300 block of 62nd Street in West Philadelphia and an October 1, 2024, carjacking in Upper Darby.
In the first incident, Hall and two co-defendants allegedly approached a driver, displayed handguns, and took the victim’s vehicle, phone, and cash, according to court filings.
In the second incident, Hall and others allegedly lured a pizza delivery driver to a location in Upper Darby, where they pointed firearms at the victim and took personal belongings, cash, and the victim’s vehicle, authorities said.
Co-defendant Kristian Jackson, 20, pleaded guilty to the Philadelphia carjacking and was sentenced in February to eight and a half years in prison.
Co-defendant Jalaal Claitt, 20, of Atlanta, has pleaded guilty to both incidents and is scheduled to be sentenced in July.
The case was investigated by the FBI Philadelphia Violent Crimes Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department, with assistance from Upper Darby Police, and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Robert E. Eckert and Samantha A. Arena.
