PHILADELPHIA, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against six people accused of operating an organized identity theft and fraud scheme that allegedly targeted dozens of victims across the state.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, the group referred to itself as “All Money Counts,” or “AMC,” and was allegedly led by 30-year-old Brandon J. Greisser.
Prosecutors allege the organization stole identification cards, passports and other personal information before using those documents to impersonate victims during bank withdrawals, credit and debit card transactions, and other fraudulent activities.
The Attorney General’s Office charged Greisser and five alleged co-conspirators with corrupt organizations, identity theft, unlawful use of a computer, conspiracy and numerous additional felony offenses.
Also charged are Zachery Michael Pratt, Erik P. Simmons, Liam Kuchman and Andrew C. Fisher. Authorities said Greisser, Kuchman, Simmons, Fisher and Pratt are in custody, while a sixth defendant remains at large.
Investigators have identified more than 40 alleged victims and more than $75,000 in attempted or completed thefts, according to the Attorney General’s Office. Authorities believe additional victims may not yet have been identified.
The Attorney General’s Office is prosecuting the case. Investigators are encouraging anyone who believes they may have been the victim of theft, identity theft or fraud connected to the alleged scheme to contact their local police department.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
