HARRISBURG, PA — A Montgomery County man is facing more than 100 felony charges after investigators alleged he installed hidden cameras inside a southwestern Pennsylvania home to secretly record a child, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.

Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that 46-year-old Adam Benjamin Arena was charged this week with multiple felony offenses, including the alleged production and possession of child sexual abuse material, along with dozens of misdemeanor invasion of privacy charges.

According to investigators, the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section and the Brownsville Police Department launched an investigation after hidden recording devices were allegedly discovered inside a Fayette County residence.

Authorities alleged Arena installed hidden cameras primarily in a bathroom and shower area to record a child in various states of undress.

Investigators said the child victim discovered at least one concealed camera hidden inside a shampoo bottle.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant in June 2024 and allegedly recovered multiple electronic devices belonging to Arena containing videos and images obtained through the hidden cameras. Authorities said some of the videos allegedly showed Arena installing and later retrieving the devices.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
