NEW CASTLE, DE — A person was injured during a strong-arm robbery at a New Castle bus stop Tuesday night, according to Delaware State Police.
Troopers responded at approximately 9:20 p.m. Sept. 15 to the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue for a reported robbery, state police said.
Investigators said the victim was waiting at a bus stop when a male suspect approached and allegedly demanded the victim’s personal property.
Police allege the suspect then struck the victim and forcibly took the victim’s property before fleeing the area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening, according to state police.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the robbery.
