WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have apprehended a man and a woman on allegations of gun possession and drug offenses following an investigation in the city’s Conrad Street area.

Beginning in early February, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were investigating reports of illicit drug sales on the 1200 block of Conrad Street. On February 10, at approximately 3:28 p.m., police executed a search warrant on the block, leading to the arrest of Eric Whittle, 30, and Jasmin Brown, 29, without any reported incidents.

During the operation, police reportedly recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 1.9 grams of what they believe to be crack cocaine, 2.6 grams of a substance suspected to be marijuana, and items typically associated with drug use and sales.

Whittle now faces a series of charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and has been committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,750 cash-only bail.

Brown has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. After being arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, she was released on $3,500 unsecured bail.

As this case continues to develop, information may change as more details become available. It is essential to remember that the release of information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest does not indicate guilt. All suspects, arrestees, or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
