WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Two ramps carrying traffic from Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to northbound Interstate 476 will close overnight for two consecutive nights, forcing drivers onto posted detours in Montgomery County.

The ramp from westbound I-76 to northbound I-476 will close Friday and Saturday nights. The ramp from eastbound I-76 to northbound I-476 will close during the same periods.
Drivers will be directed along posted detour routes to reach northbound I-476. PennDOT did not identify the specific roads included in those detours.
Plan extra time, expect delays near the interchange, and consider alternate routes when traveling through West Conshohocken Borough and Lower Merion Township.
Additional weeknight lane closures will continue through October on northbound and southbound I-476 between the I-76 and I-95 interchanges in Montgomery and Delaware counties. Those restrictions are scheduled from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge repairs, guiderail installation, line striping, and other construction.
The closures are part of a $63.7 million federally funded project to resurface and improve nearly 17 miles of I-476, including associated ramps and bridges. The project also includes repairs to 49 structures and upgrades to stormwater basins, sound walls, drainage systems, signs, rumble strips, pavement markings, and guiderails.
