Visiting Angels Names Internal Executive as President in Leadership Shift

Visiting Angels

BRYN MAWR, PA — Visiting Angels has promoted longtime executive Scott Parrish to president, elevating a company veteran as the senior home care franchisor positions itself for continued growth across its network of more than 600 locations nationwide.

The company announced that Parrish, who has been with Visiting Angels since 2008 and most recently served as executive vice president, will assume the president role while founder Larry Meigs remains chief executive officer.

The leadership transition places day-to-day operational oversight in the hands of an executive who has spent nearly two decades helping manage the company’s franchise support and corporate operations.

Parrish joined Visiting Angels as its first general manager in 2008 and was promoted to executive vice president the following year. In that role, he oversaw corporate departments and coordinated support functions for the company’s franchise network.

Before entering the private sector, Parrish spent 21 years in the U.S. Navy as an officer and naval aviator, serving in leadership positions that included maintenance officer, operations officer, and executive officer.

“Looking back on nearly two decades, I’m most proud of being a part of a team that has achieved this level of success while still managing to maintain our unique family culture,” Parrish stated. “I want to make sure we keep our culture intact going forward.”

He also outlined priorities that include strengthening support for franchise owners, expanding the next generation of ownership within the system, and evaluating technology investments to assist caregivers, clients, and operators.

Meigs, who founded Visiting Angels more than 25 years ago, will continue serving as chief executive while working alongside Parrish on the company’s strategic direction.

“When I think about the next chapter for Visiting Angels, I think about the kind of leadership that earns trust from every direction—from our franchise owners, our caregivers, and the families we serve,” Meigs stated. “Scott embodies that.”

Visiting Angels provides in-home care services for seniors and adults through a nationwide franchise network. Services include companionship, assistance with daily living activities, and specialized care intended to help clients remain in their homes as they age.

The company indicated the appointment reflects a broader focus on maintaining operational continuity while supporting future expansion across its franchise system.
