WILMINGTON, DE — Vasco Electronics’ Vasco Audience translation platform received a Best of Show Award at ISTELive 2026, recognition that could strengthen the company’s position in the growing market for language-access technology used by K-12 school districts.
The web-based platform won in the Secondary Education category of Tech & Learning’s annual Best of Show Awards, which recognize products exhibited at the International Society for Technology in Education conference.
According to the company, Vasco Audience provides real-time translation in more than 50 languages during parent-teacher conferences, Individualized Education Program meetings, orientations and other school events involving families.
The platform uses semantic segmentation technology and customizable school glossaries to improve translation of educational terminology and acronyms. Participants access translations through a QR code or session ID without downloading software or using dedicated hardware.
Vasco said the platform also replaces traditional interpretation services with a pay-as-you-go model that can reduce translation costs for school districts by as much as 90%.
“True equity in education begins with mutual understanding,” Chief Executive Officer Maciej Góralski said. “When schools cannot communicate effectively with families, children miss out on vital support systems.”
The company also showcased its broader translation technology portfolio at ISTELive, including handheld translators, a phone-call translation device and translation earbuds designed for classroom communication.
Vasco said its education business continues to expand through a partnership with Second Mile Education aimed at improving communication between schools and multilingual households.
