BLUE BELL, PA — Unisys (NYSE: UIS) expanded its Cargo Portal Services platform through new partnerships with Fits Cargo and Expedite All aimed at broadening global freight booking options and integrating last-mile delivery services into a single workflow.
The company announced the additions will expand route availability for freight forwarders and provide direct access to domestic ground delivery services for U.S.-bound shipments through the Cargo Portal Services platform, which is used by more than 33,000 freight forwarding customers.
Unisys stated that integrating Fits Cargo’s carrier network will provide shippers with additional global route options and broader access to international freight capacity through the platform.
The partnership with Expedite All adds domestic ground transportation capabilities, allowing freight forwarders to coordinate pickup and final delivery services alongside air cargo bookings.
“Expanding our bookings with Fits Cargo and connecting ground delivery through Expedite All provides clients with more options and demonstrates how we’re helping shippers reimagine the logistics experience,” Sean Tinney, senior vice president and general manager of Enterprise Computing Solutions at Unisys, said.
Cargo Portal Services allows freight forwarders to price, book and track air cargo shipments through a centralized digital platform used by airlines and logistics providers.
According to Unisys, the expanded capabilities are intended to reduce reliance on manual booking processes while improving access to real-time cargo capacity and route data.
“Our Small Truckload service is uniquely positioned to support air freight with speed, flexibility, and precision,” Mike Ernst, president of Expedite All, said. “Through this integration, we’re making it easier for forwarders to access the right-sized capacity exactly when and where they need it.”
The additions come as logistics providers increasingly invest in integrated transportation management systems designed to streamline coordination between international air freight and domestic ground delivery networks.
