MALVERN, PA — Ocugen Inc. (Nasdaq: OCGN) will present its experimental gene therapy platform at two healthcare industry conferences in November, seeking to increase investor and industry exposure for its approach to treating inherited retinal diseases and other causes of blindness.
The Malvern-based biotechnology company said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Shankar Musunuri will discuss its modifier gene therapy technology at the Stifel 2026 Healthcare Conference in New York on November 12 and participate in a panel discussion at Cell & Gene Leaders Live 2026 in London on November 15.
Ocugen is developing treatments intended to address retinal diseases through a gene-agnostic approach, which differs from conventional gene therapies designed to correct or replace specific defective genes.
Its modifier gene therapy platform is designed to influence multiple gene networks involved in disease processes, potentially allowing treatments to address patients with different underlying genetic mutations.
The company is advancing programs targeting retinitis pigmentosa, Stargardt disease and geographic atrophy, an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration.
These conditions can cause progressive vision loss, and Ocugen’s development strategy focuses on diseases for which existing treatment options are limited.
Musunuri, who is also Ocugen’s co-founder, is scheduled to present at the Stifel conference Thursday, November 12, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
He will participate in the Cell & Gene Leaders Live panel discussion Sunday, November 15, from 3:15 to 4 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time at The Shard in London.
The Stifel presentation will be available through the Events and Presentations section of Ocugen’s investor relations website, with a replay accessible for 30 days after the conference.
The appearances provide Ocugen with opportunities to discuss its technology and development programs with investors and biotechnology industry participants as it pursues potential gene therapy treatments for retinal diseases.
