MALVERN, PA — Annovis Bio Inc. (NYSE: ANVS) will present its experimental Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease treatment at two biotechnology conferences in November, expanding its engagement with pharmaceutical companies as the Malvern-based drug developer advances its clinical programs.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Maria Maccecchini will participate in U.S. Biotech Day 2026 in Philadelphia on November 16 and the Pharma Partnering Summit in Boston on November 19, the company announced.
The appearances will focus on buntanetap, Annovis’ investigational oral treatment for neurodegenerative diseases, and provide opportunities for discussions with potential industry partners.
Annovis is developing buntanetap to address the production of neurotoxic proteins associated with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. The company’s approach targets protein translation, a cellular process involved in producing proteins, rather than focusing exclusively on individual disease symptoms.
The company is in Phase 3 clinical development, a stage in which experimental treatments undergo larger studies intended to establish their safety and effectiveness before potential regulatory approval.
At U.S. Biotech Day, Maccecchini will participate in a panel examining the transition from laboratory discoveries to clinical evidence alongside representatives from Pfizer, Merck, Bristol Myers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim and other pharmaceutical companies.
The discussion, titled “Bridging the Translational Gap: From Discovery Insights to Clinical Proof,” is scheduled for November 16 from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Eastern Time.
Maccecchini will also deliver a company presentation from 10:15 to 10:30 a.m., addressing Annovis’ clinical development programs and upcoming milestones.
Three days later, she will present at the Pharma Partnering Summit in Boston, discussing the company’s strategy for targeting neurotoxic protein production through buntanetap.
That presentation, titled “Restoring Proteostasis in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases with Buntanetap, a Translational Inhibitor of Neurotoxic Proteins,” is scheduled for November 19 from 11:25 to 11:55 a.m. Eastern Time.
Maccecchini will also conduct individual meetings with biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry representatives during both conferences.
The meetings provide Annovis with opportunities to discuss its clinical programs and potential industry relationships as it continues developing buntanetap for neurodegenerative diseases.
