LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health are launching a program that will provide free team-branded gift packages to babies born at the health system’s Women & Babies Hospital.
Under the “Babies and Baseball” initiative, families of newborns will receive a co-branded “Newest Stormers Fan” onesie, a gift bag, a commemorative certificate, and four vouchers redeemable for admission to any Stormers game.
The team said 4,000 onesies and gift bags will be delivered to the hospital during a scheduled appearance by Stormers mascot Cylo on Thursday, May 28, at noon.
The initiative expands an existing partnership between the baseball club and Lancaster General Health while giving the team an early connection point with local families.
“We are very excited to finally launch Babies and Baseball in collaboration with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health,” Alexandra Bunn, vice president and assistant general manager of the Stormers, said in a statement. “This program is a fun and meaningful way to celebrate new life while also introducing them to the excitement of Stormers baseball.”
The Lancaster Stormers compete in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play home games at Penn Medicine Park in Lancaster.
