PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The 1978 Phoenix Foundation will seek permission Nov. 18 to operate a private club, community center and office at 315 Gay St., a residentially zoned property in Phoenixville.
Anthony C. DiGirolomo filed the application on behalf of the foundation, according to a public notice issued by the borough.
The foundation is requesting a special exception under Section 27-301.2.B(1) of the zoning ordinance to permit the private club and community center. It also seeks a variance from Section 27-301.2.C(1) to allow the office use.
The property, identified as UPI No. 15-13-384, is in the borough’s Residential Infill District. The application remains pending, and no zoning relief has been granted.
The Phoenixville Zoning Hearing Board will receive evidence on the requests at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Borough Hall, 351 Bridge St.
The hearing will be conducted as a formal legal proceeding and transcribed by a court reporter. People affected by the application may seek permission to intervene, while the applicant and parties granted intervenor status may present evidence and retain legal counsel at their own expense.
The complete application is available for inspection at Borough Hall. Copies may be obtained for no more than the borough’s reproduction cost.
