NEW HOLLAND, PA — Sauder’s Hardscape Supply and SHS Distributors are expanding technical training for landscaping and hardscaping contractors through four workshops scheduled for November and December 2026 in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, focusing on installation methods that could help contractors broaden their services and improve project execution.
The Fall 2026 Leading Edge Series, detailed in an October company release, will offer half-day and full-day instruction covering porcelain paving, driveway systems, exterior cladding and building systems. Sessions are scheduled for November 3, 6 and 20 and December 3.
The program reflects the New Holland-based supplier’s effort to strengthen contractor relationships through technical education tied to its product offerings. Participants will receive installation instruction, observe demonstrations and work with materials used in residential and commercial hardscaping projects.
“We wanted to provide an opportunity for our contractors to stay updated with the latest trends and also give them ways to become more efficient and knowledgeable in specific product categories,” stated Josiah Stoltzfus, 3D design and marketing specialist at Sauder’s.
The series begins November 3 at SHS Distributors in Hampton, Connecticut, with a half-day workshop on permeable Trass systems for porcelain paving. Instruction will address base preparation, installation procedures and system recommendations.
A November 6 workshop in New Holland will focus on OLF cladding systems, including installation techniques and exterior finishing applications. The session is intended to help contractors evaluate services beyond conventional hardscape installations.
The company will hold a full-day porcelain and Trass driveway workshop in New Holland on November 20, covering installation requirements, system specifications and performance considerations.
The final session, scheduled for December 3 in Hampton, will address OLF building systems through practical instruction on construction methods, design solutions and exterior finishing options.
Half-day workshops cost $65 per participant, while full-day sessions cost $120. Lunch is included in both formats.
Sauder’s also provides technical training involving GFTK and OLF product lines, with an emphasis on installation practices and product performance.
“We want contractors to be confident in the products that we offer… in both installation and product integrity,” Stoltzfus stated.
The workshops combine product-specific instruction with opportunities for contractors to consult suppliers and other industry professionals. For Sauder’s and SHS Distributors, the training also provides a means of maintaining relationships with contractors who purchase and install their materials.
Registration and additional workshop information are available through Sauder’s Hardscape Supply. The company can be reached at 717-354-5570.
