ShowMojo AI Converts 21% of Rental Chats Into Showings

CLAYMONT, DE — ShowMojo’s artificial intelligence leasing agent has handled 111,000 prospective-renter conversations since its May launch and converted 21% into property showings, as the property-management software company expands automation into after-hours leasing inquiries.

The virtual agent, known as Mo, was also named 2026 “Virtual Assistant of the Year” by PropTech Breakthrough, an awards program focused on real estate technology.

ShowMojo developed the system to address inquiries arriving when leasing offices are closed. According to the company, most prospective-renter inquiries occur after 6 p.m. or on weekends, creating a potential gap between initial interest and a response from property managers.

Mo operates around the clock, answering questions about issues including pet policies, security deposits and move-in requirements. It can also pre-qualify prospective tenants, schedule property tours and record interactions in property managers’ systems.

For properties offering self-guided tours, the technology can move a prospective renter from an initial inquiry to a scheduled visit without requiring intervention from leasing staff.

“When a renter’s question sits unanswered overnight, that lease often goes to someone else,” ShowMojo Chief Executive Officer Vanessa Anderson stated. “Mo gives every prospect an immediate, helpful response at the exact moment they are most interested.”

The AI agent builds on ShowMojo’s existing leasing platform, which automates functions including rental-listing distribution, applicant screening, scheduling, self-guided showings and follow-up.

ShowMojo reported that its customer data show 54% of leads convert to scheduled showings, compared with 43% using competing services. The company also reported that its platform reduces days on market by roughly 20%. The release did not provide additional methodology or comparative details for those figures.

PropTech Breakthrough selected Mo as the winner of its “Virtual Assistant of the Year” category in the organization’s sixth annual awards program.

“A virtual assistant earns its title when it finishes the job rather than taking a message for someone else to handle,” Bryan Vaughn, managing director of PropTech Breakthrough Awards, stated. He cited the system’s ability to move renters from an initial question to a confirmed tour without human intervention.
